Crazy Escaping Lions

A lion that was bred and raised in captivity was shot dead yesterday at a Zoo in ... wait for it ... Australia.

Visitors to Mogo Zoo, around 280 kms (174 miles) south of Sydney, were locked in safe houses for protection after a nine-year-old lioness named Jameila escaped. Staff were forced to shoot the wandering cat.

There is either something in the air in Australia, or it is the epicenter of the AU2012. I'm not saying captive lions are docile or anything, but where there's smoke, there's fire.

The keepers decided to shoot the lion, who had never escaped, and was apparently not an aggressive lion. This is sad for the lion, but read the article ... people are furious about this ... see how well your hate mail works when the rest of the animal kingdom has eaten your arms off, and is using your email server as a toilet.
